A Women's Health Guide
Sometimes, it can feel like life is a never-ending gauntlet of work responsibilities, family matters, social obligations, chores, and everything else that has to get done every day. But amid all of the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's important to remember to take care of yourself. Like they say on airplanes, "put on your own mask first": You can't be your best self for anyone else unless you prioritize your own health. If you don't take care of yourself, you can end up getting mentally burned out or even becoming physically ill; high stress levels over time have been shown to be harmful to the immune system.
Taking care of your health can have many different aspects, from going to the doctor regularly to have all of the recommended health screenings to maintaining healthy habits like eating a balanced diet and getting plenty of exercise. You should also take time out to relax and take care of your mental health, including seeking help from a professional when you need it. Even if you don't feel like you have time for self-care, it's important to find the time. When you're both physically and mentally well, you're much more able to handle life's challenges and enjoy the good things that come your way.
